1st Ever Nusuk Card Distribution for Hajj 2026 Launched in Bangladesh
✨In a significant step toward modernizing Hajj management, the official distribution of the Nusuk Card for Bangladeshi pilgrims has been inaugurated for the first time in the country. This digital identification system is mandatory for Hajj 2026 (1447 H). It aims to streamline the pilgrimage experience and ensure the safety of all attendees.
Inauguration Ceremony
The distribution program was formally launched on Monday, April 13, 2026, at a ceremony held at the FARS Hotel & Resorts in Purana Paltan, Dhaka. The event was inaugurated by M Rashiduzzaman Millat, State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism. Additionally, key government officials and representatives from the Saudi Hajj management agency, Rawaf Mina, attended.
What is the Nusuk Card?
The Nusuk Card serves as the primary digital and physical identity for pilgrims. It is essential for:
- Access Control: Mandatory entry into Makkah, Madinah, and the holy sites of Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifa.
- Navigation: Features embedded barcodes that allow authorities to assist lost pilgrims by scanning their information.
- Security: Distinguishes authorized pilgrims from those without permits, helping to prevent overcrowding and unauthorized entries.
Key Highlights for 2026 Pilgrims
- Pre-Arrival Access: For the first time, Bangladeshi pilgrims are receiving their Nusuk Cards before leaving their home country. This reduces waiting times and logistical hurdles in Saudi Arabia.
- Collaborative Management: The initiative is being led by Amin Travels & Tours in coordination with the Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB) and Saudi-based Rawaf Mina.
- Affordability: During the launch, government representatives emphasized that efforts have been made to reduce travel costs. This makes Hajj more accessible for 2026.
A Warning to Agencies
State Minister Millat issued a stern warning during the ceremony, stating that the government is committed to a “complaint-free” Hajj. Licenses of Hajj agencies will be canceled if they fail to provide the promised services or mistreat pilgrims.
Pilgrims are urged to keep their cards safe at all times. Saudi authorities have warned that failure to present the card may lead to penalties or denial of services during the Hajj rituals.
